MANHART Cayenne CRT 800: Turning Porsche's Big SUV Into A Rocket
Hold off on that Porsche Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid if you want a souped up Cayenne, because MANHART may have something better for you
The Porsche Cayenne is an overachiever in a multitude of fields. The first generation of Porsche’s SUV was instrumental in keeping the sports car manufacturer afloat while the current-generation Cayenne is about as close as you can get to a sports car while still offering some off-road capabilities. Regardless of the model and platform, Porsches have mostly offered a great baseline for tuners to extract even more performance. There are more than a few notable names in the business, but few can match the long-term experience as well as MANHART.
4 Reasons Why The Porsche Cayenne GTS Stands out
Within the Cayenne's extensive model lineup, find out why the GTS may be the one to get
The Porsche Cayenne recently got a few nice updates for 2025. While most will be looking towards the range-topping Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid, it is the new GTS trim that is the most pleasant surprise. The GTS is, typically, considered to be the perfect middle ground among all Porsche models as it combines the ideal blend of performance, comfort, and usable power levels. Despite the Cayenne GTS being one of the most athletic SUVs out there, a Sports Utility Vehicle can never offer the same thrills as a proper sports car like, let’s say the 911 Carrera GTS.
Does Porsche's Continued Efforts To Push Innovative Tech On The Panamera Mean That It's Here to Stay?
Despite a looming threat from EVs and SUVs, here's why Porsche could be hanging on to its flagship four-door sedan
The Panamera is the Porsche brand’s first production four-door sedan. It came out back in April 2009 and frankly, its design was more controversial at the time, than the fact it was a four-door Porsche sedan. The looks were purely function over form since the back-then CEO, Wendelin Wiedeking’s priority above all else, was for the car to seat four tall adults comfortably. Fast-forward to 2024 and the Panamera is now in its third generation and thankfully, I can say that it’s a lot better looking than before. However, with the introduction of the all-electric four-door Porsche Taycan – the brand’s first EV, along with subsequent decline in the sale of sedans in favor of SUVs – the Panamera seemingly doesn’t make sense. But, despite those plummeting sales numbers, Porsche has decided to, not just keep the Panamera around, but also give it cutting-edge tech like the new, high-end, Active Ride suspension and other innovative technologies. Now my argument is that Porsche doesn’t do things for no reason, so here’s what this could mean for the Panamera’s future.
Garage-Built Cayenne PickUp: An Abomination Or A Stroke Of Genius?
A French guy chops up his Cayenne with an angle grinder and ends up with an Aussie-style Porsche Ute
We have all seen renderings of what a Porsche Cayenne pickup truck would look like, thanks to A.I. and imaginative graphic designers. While an official model might never be a reality, we no longer have to rely on our imagination. French YouTuber Elyascars decided to use his trusty angle grinder and pickaxe to make the Cayenne pickup truck a reality. A mere seven days ago he acquired an ’03 Porsche Cayenne (955) for just 2,300 euros ($2,500), one he calls the cheapest Cayenne in France.
2024 Porsche Cayenne S
Porsche defies the odds with the new Cayenne S, axing the 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 in favor of a 468-hp 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8. A bolder exterior and redesigned cabin with new tech are new for 2024.
The 2024 Porsche Cayenne S arrives with a host of exciting updates that solidify its position as a top contender in the luxury performance SUV segment. It’s now propelled by a potent 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, replacing the previous 2.9-liter V6. This powerplant delivers an impressive 468 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, propelling the Cayenne S from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds when equipped with the Sport Chrono Package.
“Electric” Design Indoor Car Cover: A Unique Way To Enjoy Your Taycan At "0" MPH
Beyond its sci-fi blue highlights, find out why this car cover represents excellent value for Taycan owners
A car cover is a pretty generic item and is an absolute necessity if you park your ride out on and about for extended periods of time, in order to protect it from the elements. But it makes an even stronger case if the ride in question happens to be your brand-new 100-grand Porsche Taycan. You can go with something pretty generic from Amazon for under a hundred bucks. It does the usual stuff like protection accents for rain, snow, the wind, and sun and I found one that even has reflective stripes and a cut-out for a charge port. But if you want the novelty of a Porsche branded cover for your Taycan, you can get both a water-repellent outdoor cover and an indoor cover from the Porsche Tequipment accessories catalog for just $379. However, if you happen to have the luxury of an enclosed garage, Porsche has something pretty unique, to keep your Taycan under wraps, quite literally.
2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia: A Factory-Built Off-Roader Worth Collecting
With just 285 examples ever built, this is your chance to get your hands on this extremely rare gen-1 Cayenne that packs some proper off-road chops
The Porsche Cayenne is a name synonymous with luxury and sportiness and, perhaps less so, off-road prowess. But what if we told you there’s a Cayenne that can tackle sand dunes with the same aplomb it tackles Rodeo Drive? While this might look like any other Cayenne to the average Joe, to the eagle-eyed amongst you, you know that this one is special. This, my friends, is the 2010 Porsche Cayenne S Transsyberia that’s come up for sale on Bring-a-Trailer, is a ridiculously rare (only 285 made!) off-road-ready beast that’ll have you conquering sand dunes and carving up canyons in equal measure.
2009 RUF Dakara: A Cayenne With A 911 Face
With only a handful in existence, this highly collectible Cayenne-based Super SUV is one that most Porsche fans have probably never heard of
Ruf, the legendary German tuner known for breathing fire into Porsches, recently unveiled its off-road-ready Rodeo at the Monterey Car Week. While it certainly was a head-turner and one of the highlight models this year, it’s not the first time that the German tuner has gotten its feet wet with a high-riding model. Enter the Ruf Dakara, a forgotten hero from the mid-2000s that deserves a place in the Super SUV Hall of Fame.
Here's How Friedrich Performance Squeezes Extra Performance From The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT
The German tuner offers a kit that turns the already potent Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT into a 1,000 horsepower 911 slayer
When it comes to reimagining and modifying Porsche cars, there is no shortage of great names that specialize in the art of making the German company’s performance models even more capable than they already are. Such treatment is not limited only to the Porsche 911 and 718 models though. The German company, Friedrich Performance Manufaktur (FPM) offers performance-enhancing treatment for all Porsche models, and one of its latest kits is dedicated to making the Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT faster than the latest, most powerful 911 we have. Of course, the 992.2 update is about to bring even more radical variants of the iconic, rear-engine sports car, but the Friedrich Performance package for the Cayenne GT gives it a 36-percent bump in power with a bit of extra torque. As you may expect, the numbers are impressive, but even more surprising is how little it takes to unleash that extra power from the Porsche SUV.
10 Optional Cayenne Features Every Buyer Should Consider Choosing From The Porsche Configurator
While the Porsche SUV is already pretty well-equipped from factory, these additional features should enhance your Cayenne ownership experience
The Porsche Cayenne is already a tech fest on wheels. The brand’s first SUV proved you can have off-road capabilities, luxury, and even performance, all in one package. Over two decades and three generations later, the Porsche Cayenne has evolved into an even sportier, more tech-heavy offering in the high-performance SUV segment. At the same time, Porsche engineers have done a bit of work on the chassis, to better distinguish the Cayenne from its siblings – like the Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, and Lamborghini Urus, which rely on, largely, the same hardware under the skin.
Porsche Taycan-Cayenne Mashup Results In The Most Aerodynamic Van
With the help of A.I., we dream up an all-electric Porsche van and what it could potentially look like
Porsche is best known for its sports cars, predominantly the 911. The rear-engine model, although far from being the brand’s only performance car, shows continuous commitment to perfecting the classic, rear-engine design, we have all loved since 1964. While the 911 would remain as a gas-powered model for as long as possible, Porsche has diversified its lineup over the last two decades. Following the Boxster, Porsche introduced its first SUV, the Cayenne, and a few years later, in 2009, the Panamera high-performance sedan. One thing no one expects from Porsche is a minivan.
How Berg Peaks Performance Beefs Up This Limited-Run Porsche Cayenne Transsyberia
With only six-lucky owners destined to get their hands on this extremely rare example, find out why this fully-kitted out off-road Porsche costs $125,000
The first-generation Porsche Cayenne has seen something of a resurgence in recent years. People are beginning to recognize that the sporty SUV is more than just a ’mall-crawler’. It has become a popular Overlanding and weekend off-roader, especially in the early iterations of the GTS trim. When the Cayenne first came out back in 2002, it divided Porsche purists, some of whom argued that the German brand should stick to building sports cars. In 2006, Porsche participated in the harsh Transsyberia Rally, to establish the Cayenne’s offroad chops for good. The Transsyberia Rally consists of nearly 7,000 miles of varied and unforgiving terrain stretching from the Russian capital, Moscow to Mongolia.
Pushing The Forbidden, Non-Euro Porsche Cayenne At The Nürburgring
Ever wondered what an unhinged Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT would be like? This little-known version of the SUV answers just that
I am a firm believer that you cannot extract supercar performance from an SUV. Maybe in terms of straight-line acceleration, but not when it comes to cornering. Apparently, I am wrong since Nurburg’s resident YouTuber/ test driver and Norschleife dweller, Misha Charoudin recently published a video with a very exclusive Porsche Cayenne. The SUV in question, is the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, but it is not the Euro-spec variant, you might expect. Instead, a viewer from Mexico imported the range-topping version of Porsche’s performance SUV, as it is sold on the Mexican market, for and naturally, he had to visit one of the most iconic racetracks for a couple of laps. Porsche has proven over and over again its performance models can take the physics rulebook and throw it out of the window. This spiced-up Cayenne Turbo GT is no exception. Here’s what makes this one special.
2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS
The latest GTS gets a significant engine upgrade with an additional 40 hp and 30 lb-ft of torque while boasting updated exterior and interior enhancements and handling upgrades from the flagship Turbo GT
Porsche’s Cayenne is a high-performance, mid-size luxury SUV that debuted in 2003. It’s now in its third generation, which arrived in 2019. One year later, the GTS variant was unveiled, positioning itself between the S and Turbo models. For 2025, the GTS gets better than ever, thanks to an exterior facelift, new tech, handling, and power upgrades.
2025 Audi SQ6 e-tron - A Powerhouse That's Also A Tech Paradise
With 510 hp on tap, triple-screens in the cabin, aggressive exterior styling, and impressive range thanks to new battery chemistry, the SQ6 e-tron is Audi's ticket to eat up Tesla's market share
With the ever-popular midsize SUV segment booming with impressive all-electric vehicles, it was time Audi took the challenge seriously. The Q4 e-tron is just not there yet to get recommendations from EV experts, and the Q8 e-tron is just too expensive, without the wow factor you’d expect from a flagship EV. So, this is where the newly launched Q6 e-tron steps in.
Is The 2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid A Contender To The Cayenne S Throne?
With 463 HP and a predicted EV-only range of up to 56 miles, does the advanced tech and efficiency make the latest Cayenne E-Hybrid the most desirable model in Porsche's SUV lineup? While purists will likely be swayed toward the twin-turbo V8, this greener option brings plenty of benefits.
Porsches are special, whether the rear-engined 911, the mid-engined 718, or the front-engined big and bulky Cayenne. However, neither sports car is the best seller in Porsche’s lineup. Why? Well, not everyone is a hardcore motoring enthusiast who intends to tear up the drag strip or aspires to be a GT3 driver in their new purchase, and that’s where the Cayenne wins the popularity vote.
2025 Porsche Taycan - Much More Than Just A Facelift
Boasting up to 938 HP and a 421-mile range, the impressive 2025 Taycan challenges the Tesla Model S, offering breathtaking acceleration and superior handling on twisty roads. However, an optioned-up Turbo S quickly reaches $250,000.
Most of us car guys have a love-hate relationship with EVs. While the impressive acceleration is undeniable, they often fall short of delivering the exhilarating driving dynamics synonymous with traditional sports cars. Meanwhile, some prioritize luxury and extended range instead. Porsche, renowned for crafting exceptional sports cars, embraces the electric revolution, focusing on delivering driving pleasure alongside environmental sustainability, and this commitment was clearly demonstrated with the launch of the Taycan in 2019.
Does The 2024 Porsche Cayenne Impress Enough To Continue As Stuttgart's Money-Maker?
Although the latest base model Cayenne gets treated to plenty of new upgrades, it's likely to leave potential buyers wondering whether it's worth the extra cost over the previous model and other rivals in the midsize luxury SUV sector
In 2002, Porsche took a huge gamble by launching the Cayenne, an SUV based on the Volkswagen Touareg, which left many purists sneering. Despite the criticisms, Porsche’s gamble paid off as the years progressed - big time. Much to the surprise of many, the Cayenne became a runaway success, bringing in more money for Porsche than ever.
2024 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe - A Perfect Mix Of Power, Elegance, And Efficiency?
With its tuned V6 pushing out 463 HP, an upgraded e-motor, and superior battery life, the 2024 Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe blends luxury with impressive performance and a respectable price tag
Remember 2002? Britney Spears dominated the airwaves, flip phones were all the rage, and Porsche took a bold leap into uncharted territory - the SUV market. The Cayenne became an instant success with its sculpted curves and undeniable Porsche spirit. It proved that luxury and practicality could coexist while redefining the SUV landscape and injecting much-needed cash into the iconic German brand, securing its future for generations to come.
The Updated 2024 Porsche Cayenne S Coupe Is More Than Just A Pretty Face
Delivering excellent performance with its 468 hp V8, stylish aesthetics, air suspension, and tech-focused interior, the Cayenne S Coupe is a solid offering, but does it justify the cost against its German rivals?
Porsche is giving the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe lineup a mid-cycle refresh for 2024, strengthening its position in the midsize premium sport SUV category. Both variants now feature a refined, sleek design, including a redesigned front with arched wings, an updated hood, and larger air intakes. The Cayenne Coupe goes further with a wider and sloping rear end.
2023 BMW X7 M60i
A no compromise V8 BMW SUV, that also happens to be a family hauler
It was not long ago when BMW wanted a piece of the pie in the full-size SUV segment, where American brands such as Ford, Cadillac, and GM have been thriving for over a decade. Joining late to the full-size sports-utility bandwagon, the BMW X7 is the most practical BMW you can buy right now.
