The windshield free car Mercedes comes up with every ten years

Remember the Sterling Moss windhshield-less concept of the Mercedes SLR? Ok so Mercedes did it again. It is a recurring limited edition theme for them considering their glory days in the 60’s when they were winning races on a regular basis. The good old days are behind them but the spirit lives on. If you are a lucky VIP that will be the car to show off in Monaco this summer. If not you can always go for a Porsche GT of 918 Spyder and it should cost you about the same.

2026 Aston Martin Vantage Roadster

The Porsche 911 alternative if you are leasing.

If you are shopping for a Porsche 911, you have to also look at the Aston-Martin Vantage. Of course its resaele value will be terrible and it is usualy a rebranded glorified Jaguar coupe but you have to give it to the Brits, the Vantage always looks like a million bucks when it comes out. I can’t recall any Vantage release where I was not thinking ’oh boy’ this is a looker. For 2026 the Roadster aka convertible in german terms receives some minor updates. Enjoy the superb photo gallery!

Fifteen Eleven 914: A Restomod With The Heart Of A Cayman

With modern-embellishments, this carbon-clad 400 HP, '70s throwback is a showcase of what the 914 should have always been

Ben Mellors, M.D. of Fifteen Eleven Design, based out of the U.K. decided to do something completely different from the rest of the Porsche restomod world. While most shops are obsessed with building the next crazy iteration of the 911, Ben decided to create a modern redesign of the lesser-loved 914 instead. The result is a compact retro sportscar that looks like it was designed in the modern era, with the performance to match. It might not appeal to everyone, but it ticks all my boxes. The only parts retained from the donor car are the A and B pillars and the floor.

The redesign introduced crucial changes, like sharper styling, a new interior, and an upgraded 2.7-liter boxer-six engine making 240 horsepower. Mustang With A Twist: The STL-1 Concept Is A '68 Fastback That Works Off-Road

A modern take on a icon, here's how this rendering of this roofless pony car epitomizes style and substance

Imagine a classic 1968 Ford Mustang fastback. You’ve most likely pictured it on the pavement, but can you visualize that same car kicking up the dust and conquering the wilderness? Sounds wild right? Well, that’s exactly what the folks over at Borromeo de Silva, a design studio in Milan, Italy had in mind. They have previously come up with some pretty radical resto-mod concepts, based on iconic models like the Lamborghini Diablo, the Porsche 928, and the Lancia Delta Integrale. The team’s latest digital creation is a roofless classic Ford Mustang, dubbed the STL-1. But unlike most digital renders, this concept has a true backstory.

2004 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

One of the fastest convertibles of its time, this Lambo tops out at a whopping 205mph!

The 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster is a topless successor to the Diablo VT Roadster. It is based on the same L140 platform as the Murcielago coupe, and aesthetically, the Murcielago Roadster is pretty similar to its hard-top sibling. The engine cover opens rearwards and is a unique feature reminiscent of the Miura. Lamborghini also strengthened the Roadster by adding a reinforced metallic grid (also available in carbon fiber) beneath the engine cover. Lamborghini added a pretty flimsy fabric soft top that is indicated for temporary use in case of sudden rain. It is something that you have to install manually and requires two people to get the job done, which is not ideal for an expensive supercar.
