Porsche Carrera GT Shaves 16 Seconds Off Its Original Nürburgring Time With New Rubber From Michelin
With a fresh set of the latest Sport Cup 2 tires, Works driver Jörg Bergmeister sets a new record for the CGT with a lap time of 7:12.69 around the Nordschleife
Be it the sleek design or the evocative howl from its F1-derived mid-engined 5.7-liter V10, the Porsche Carrera GT needs little effort to seduce any enthusiast, Porsche-phile or otherwise. Even two decades on, the 600-horsepower rear-wheel drive manual is hailed by many as the last analog supercar to ever exist. However, when it comes to gaining a reputation as being a modern-day widow maker owing to some pretty high-profile crashes, Porsche had some housekeeping to do and hopefully stave off future lawsuits. At one point, there was even a no-drive request that Porsche sent out to owners, which folks like Doug DeMuro happily ignored.
911 Turbo S: 5 Ways It’s Better Than The Carrera GT
While the limited-run Carrera GT is hailed as one of the all time great, you'd be surprised at how far the more versatile 911 Turbo S has come in the past two decades to close the gap, at a fraction of the price
Porsche has gifted the automotive world with numerous legendary models, and among them, the 911 Turbo S and the Carrera GT stand out. The Carrera GT with its F1 derived V10 engine sounds phenomenal, and is a hero car for most Porsche people, particularly those who grew up in the 2000s, like myself. Given that it is widely considered the last analog supercar ever made, not just by Porsche, but in the wider auto industry, valuations are on the rise.
Next-Gen Porsche Hypercar: Where Is The 918 Successor?
With changing market trends and a slowdown in EV sales, we wonder if Porsche will follow through with its all-electric Mission X concept or consider alternative power plants instead
When it comes to exotic rides, everyone’s talking about how eventful 2024 has been so far, and they’re probably right! But here’s the thing: I consider the whole of 2024 to be very special. The all-new, giant V16-powered Bugatti Tourbillon, the successor to the Chiron, debuted earlier in April. Then Lamborghini blew us away with the Temerario, the Huracan successor, showcasing how a twin-turbo V8 hybrid can replace that epic naturally-aspirated V10.
New Age Holy-Trinity: Where Is Porsche?
With the all-new Ferrari F80 and the McLaren W1 breaking cover, could Porsche be next to join in to create a new-age of holy-trinity hypercars?
2024 has been utterly eventful, especially in the hypercar realm, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to witness it all. It kicked off with the Bugatti Tourbillon, that wild, 1775-horsepower V16 hybrid beast, which debuted back in June. But with rumors of successors to the McLaren P1 and the Ferrari LaFerrari in the air, I knew that we’d have something along the lines of what now appears to be shaping up to be the new-age holy trinity: absolute madness.
RML P39: A Le-Mans Inspired Hypercar Designed To Break Records
Find out how RML has built upon the already ballistic 992 Turbo S, and how it compares to a growing line of Porsche-inspired restomod supercars
I had been a bit puzzled by teasers and spy shots of what looked like a mid-engined Porsche for months, and now the wait is over. The teaser turned out to be the RML P39, and it isn’t mid-engined. The spy shots of the mid-engined exotic turned out to be the Tutthill GT1, unveiled at Monterey Car Week earlier this year. Now if you haven’t heard of RML (Ray Mallock Limited), they’re a big deal in British motorsport and they’re now celebrating four decades of their racing prowess with this bold street-legal Porsche racer. This British-built Le-Mans-inspired hypercar takes the already phenomenal Porsche 992.1 Turbo S and injects it with a massive dose of motorsport madness. RML’s aim for the P39 from the onset was to create a versatile hypercar with everyday usability. The result? A track-focused monster that promises to not just demolish lap times and redefine the boundaries of performance, but also offer refined performance for the road. So how exactly have they achieved this? Let’s find out.
Is This Why Porsche And Michelin Developed A Brand New Tire For The 20-Year Old Carrera GT?
While these cutting-edge tires should make the analog CGT quicker and safer, there could be more to the development of this fresh rubber than meets the eye
Born from Porsche’s shattered F1 dreams, the Carrera GT is considered one of the last truly analog supercars of the early 2000s and when I say analog, I genuinely do mean it. This thing had traction control and ABS, and that’s it. No fancy stability control to save you from your own stupidity.

Limited to just 25 examples, this ultra-lightweight mid-engine Hotrod is a '60s throwback to Porsche Motorsport royalty and there's even an EV version
My Instagram feed rarely disappoints, and today, it seriously delivered. Jonny Lieberman from MotorTrend.com dropped a bombshell on Instagram from what appears to be a private event: The twin mad scientists and automotive designers, Iliya & Nikita Bridan behind California-based Oil Stain Lab are going to build 25 limited-edition examples of an ultra-lightweight mid-engined hypercar and they’re calling it the HF-11.

With only a handful in existence, this highly collectible Cayenne-based Super SUV is one that most Porsche fans have probably never heard of
Ruf, the legendary German tuner known for breathing fire into Porsches, recently unveiled its off-road-ready Rodeo at the Monterey Car Week. Enter the Ruf Dakara, a forgotten hero from the mid-2000s that deserves a place in the Super SUV Hall of Fame.

We wonder if this Porsche-themed hypercar could be one of the big reveals at the upcoming Monterey Car Week
Monterey Car Week is almost upon us and Southern California is once again crawling with some automotive heavyweights and exotics. But an Instagram post by Comedian, Spike Feresten, sent me down a rabbit hole of mystery. Spotted on a transport trailer at the Los Angeles International Airport was a shape that undeniably screams: " 911 GT1 Strassenversion,” (street-version in German) that ultra-rare, race-bred unicorn from the 1990s. Born as a homologation special for the famed GT1 class, Porsche famously took on the McLaren F1 and Mercedes CLK GTR.
Was The Bugatti Tourbillon Supposed To Be An EV?
Find out why CEO, Mate Rimac refused to equip the Chiron successor with the all-electric-powertrain from the Nevera EV hypercar
After long-standing speculations and teasers, the Chiron replacement is finally here! The Bugatti Tourbillon ditches the EV trend and sticks to its internal combustion heritage with a twist. Yes, it’s a plug-in hybrid and the first Bugatti under Mate Rimac’s leadership. Beneath its elegant silhouette lies a carbon fiber monocoque chassis, holding a Cosworth-developed 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V16 coupled with three electric motors. Combined, the hybrid powertrain cranks out 1,775 horsepower. With a 0-60 mph time of two seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 276 mph, the Tourbillon is not only more potent than the outgoing Chiron but also faster.

As expected from the new generation, it gets a more powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo boxer-six setup, generating 443 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of twist. A new eight-speed PDK automatic replaces the dated seven-speed PDK, but enthusiasts still get the seven-speed manual transmission.

Despite being a halo car for McLaren and Mercedes, find out why the SLR remains one of the most underappreciated supercars of its era
Imagine Mercedes-Benz’s precision engineering infused with McLaren’s Formula 1 pedigree. That’s precisely what the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren represents. This iconic Mercedes unveiled on 17th November 2003, embodies a supercar in a grand tourer-like body. With only 2,157 examples ever produced, the SLR McLaren is a rare gem. Its design is utterly unique, boasting a dramatically long hood, butterfly doors, and side-exit exhausts that pay homage to Mercedes’s racing heritage and the original SLR from the 1950s.
Battle Of The Titans: Ford GT Vs. C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Can America's definitive sports car take down the holy-grail of American supercars?
The Chevy Corvette and Ford GT are not necessarily models that go up against each other. However, the folks over at the CarWow YouTube channel had a genuine case for why they decided to pit these two against each other. The ’Vette is America’s definitive sports car, whereas the Ford GT is the holy grail of American supercars. While most American performance cars use a front-engine rear-wheel drive layout, GM’s controversial move to ditch this setup for the first time on the Corvette with the C8 generation. It now has a mid-engine layout, just like you get on the Ford GT.
2004 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster
One of the fastest convertibles of its time, this Lambo tops out at a whopping 205mph!
The 2004 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster is a topless successor to the Diablo VT Roadster. It is based on the same L140 platform as the Murcielago coupe, and aesthetically, the Murcielago Roadster is pretty similar to its hard-top sibling. The engine cover opens rearwards and is a unique feature reminiscent of the Miura. Lamborghini also strengthened the Roadster by adding a reinforced metallic grid (also available in carbon fiber) beneath the engine cover. Lamborghini added a pretty flimsy fabric soft top that is indicated for temporary use in case of sudden rain. It is something that you have to install manually and requires two people to get the job done, which is not ideal for an expensive supercar.
