How Porsche Justifies The Price Hike On The Upcoming 2025 Cayenne

With a 6.7 percent price hike, the 2025 Cayenne is more expensive than before, but does it offer better value?

Porsche has given its popular Cayenne SUV a fresh look for the 2024 model year, marking a significant update since the sport-ute entered its third generation in 2017. This facelift brings a redesigned front and rear fascia, along with a revamped cabin with more screen real estate than ever, giving the Cayenne a sharper, more modern appearance.

For the 2025 model year, the Cayenne sees a hefty price hike compared to its 2024 model year. It now starts at $84,700, an increase of $5,500 over the 2024 base Cayenne. So, is the price jump justified? Did Porsche update the list of standard features of the Cayenne, which resulted in the price hike? Let’s uncover the details of the 2025 Porsche Cayenne and find out if it’s worth the extra dough.

A handful of feature upgrades for the base Cayenne

With a 6.7 percent increase in price compared to the outgoing model year, the 2025 Cayenne makes up quite a bit with some additional features that were optional previously. Features such as the surround view with active parking support (360-degree view with parking assist), ambient lighting, locking wheel bolts (which was previously a $60 option), and soft-close doors (was previously a $720 option)are added to the equipment list.

With the addition of more standard equipment, some packages, such as the Premium Package and Premium Package Plus, that were ridiculously priced previously, have revised pricing. So, the Premium Package, which was priced at $3,590 for the 2024 model year, is now available for $3,280. Side-by-side, the more expensive Premium Package Plus is now priced at $6,660, which was previously priced at $8,090.

Additionally, all 2025 Cayenne models will feature the new Porsche crest, which has an even sleeker design than the one it replaces. The updated crest will be seen on the hood, the steering wheel, and the headrests. So, coming back to the price increase, yes, $84,700 is a lot of money for a base Cayenne, but adding more standard features, especially soft-close doors and park assist, increases the value proposition of the Cayenne considerably. Since these options weren’t standalone and were part of expensive packages, the slight price increase seems justifiable at this point.

More optional features added to the Cayenne portfolio

Porsche also added some cool optional features to the 2025 model year Cayenne. If you opt for the $650 Neodyme interior accents along with the $7,000 Burmester sound system, you will get Neodyme treatment on the speaker grilles as well.

For Cayenne Turbo models, Porsche is offering Turbonite (black monochrome) accents both inside and outside, including the Porsche crest on the hood and the steering wheel and the Turbo badging on the seats. The optional Turbonite accents first appeared with the third-generation Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid, if you didn’t know. As for other interior options, the $4,190 leather interior in Black and Mojave Beige now offers full Beige-colored seats instead of the Black offered with the outgoing 2024 model year.

Additionally, Porsche offers Remote Park Assist for the Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, Cayenne S, and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid. Turbo models equipped with Turbonite will have the accent on the more aggressive SportDesign front bumper. Also, the Turbo E-Hybrid can be optioned with 21-inch RS Spyder wheels in Turbonite or the 22-inch Exclusive Design wheels in Turbonite.
