Porsche’s dealership network in the U.S. evolved significantly since the brand first entered the market in 1950. The partnership between Max Hoffman and Ferdinand Porsche marked the beginning of Porsche’s American presence. Hoffman, a New York-based salesman, was pivotal in establishing the brand’s reputation, despite Porsche’s smaller engines and higher prices compared to rivals. His marketing efforts, highlighting the 356’s performance and quality, led to early success. By 1954, Hoffman was selling 11 cars per week, contributing to Porsche’s increasing presence in the U.S.

Just after a month of taking the wraps of the 992.2 GT3 and GT3 Touring, the online configurator for both models is now live. While there is frankly an exhaustive amount of permutations and combinations possible, I wanted to take a look at some of the most expensive options available. The optional Weissach Package in particular, which is all about shaving off precious pounds and hopefully milliseconds on the race track is of interest to me, as it is the first time that Porsche is offering it for the GT3. Strangely enough, it is not the most expensive option that I could find.

Every Porsche 911 has its fair share of special editions. These have become more frequent, especially with the newer generations of the German sports car and the 992 is no exception. In 2024, Porsche marked 50 years of the original, 1974 Porsche 911 (930) Turbo, and naturally, a special variant of the current model was in order. These models are highly sought-after by collectors due to their historical significance and their limited production numbers. In the case of the 2024 Porsche 992 Turbo S 50 Years edition, just 1974 will be made. Naturally, Porsche will ask a pretty penny for the 50th anniversary edition.

With the all-electric Porsche Macan now officially on sale and starting to hit U.S. dealerships, I wanted to take the opportunity to spec out the most expensive Macan EV possible. So I fired up the configurator and selected the top variant of the four available models (Base, S, 4S, Turbo), which is the Macan Electric Turbo, and went to town. Now before you judge me for the bold PTS color choice, (Speed Yellow - 0UB in case you were wondering), I want to clarify that this was just an exercise. I’m personally far more conservative and would choose something more understated and go with something like silver or navy blue at best. But with this one, I’ve tried my best to select the priciest options available in my quest to get a ballpark figure of the most expensive Macan electric on sale today, and here’s what I found.

The weather may not be cooperating at Porsche West Palm Beach, but that doesn’t dampen the excitement surrounding a very special arrival: they say pre-owned but this is a practically brand new Porsche 718 Spyder RS and it comes with the much desired optional Weissach Package. Now this is far from your average Porsche convertible because what you’re looking at folks is the most powerful open-top mid-engine Porsche.

Now the outgoing Macan was consistently one of the top-selling models for Porsche and I’m sure they would like to maintain that, position. Having said that, going in all on E.V. especially when there is a slowdown in the market and an increasing demand for hybrids may have come at the worst time for Porsche. Regardless, the German automaker continues to reinforce the all-electric Macan’s lineup with two new trims joining the lineup, bringing the total up to four. I wanted to explore the wheel designs available across all four trims and what is the most expensive option available and after spending some time on the online configurator, here’s what I found.

The Porsche Mission E unveiled in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, was a futuristic concept car that was a showcase of an electric future for the German automaker. Four years later in 2019, that future arrived in production form with the Porsche Taycan EV. While it retained the essence of the Mission E concept in profile, it incorporated more practical considerations for the real world which we’ll touch upon in a bit. However, if you are an ardent fan of the concept and some of its distinctive design elements and wish to recreate the Mission E aesthetic on the Taycan, it certainly is possible.
