From auction cars to bespoke one-offs and big-ticket launches, there was no shortage of drama for Porsche lovers this year
Porsche has a long tradition of participating in the annual Monterey Car Week. One of the biggest car events on the automotive calendar. It dates back to 1950 when it was held for the first time, as a supplementary event to the Pebble Beach Road Race. Like other automakers, Porsche’s iconic sports cars were an expected sight at the Monterey Car Week, and this year, we got to see a great number of highly original, reimagined, and downright crazy builds, based on Porsche’s greatest sports cars ever made.

While the 911 GT1's reincarnation is otherworldly, here's how Tuthill's GT One stacks up against the OG Strassenversion from the late 90s
The Tuthill GT One recently made a grand entrance at the 2024 Monterey Car Week, turning heads and leaving everyone drooling. The GT One isn’t just some run-of-the-mill 911 with a fresh coat of paint and a wide body; it’s a reimagined masterpiece, channeling the spirit of Porsche’s legendary 911 GT1 race car with a modern twist.
Tuthill GT One Is A Modern-Day Hypercar That Pays Tribute To The 911 GT1
Limited to just 22 examples, the GT One is a race car for the road and the new king of restomod Porsches
U.K.-based Tuthill unveils the GT One, a carbon fiber supercar inspired by the iconic Porsche 911 GT1. Porsche created the 911 GT1 Straßenversion (Street Version) as the homologated variant of their GT1 Class racecar back in the late ’90s. Only 22 examples of the GT One are planned to be made. Exclusive: Mysterious 911 GT1-Inspired Beast Spotted At LAX
We wonder if this Porsche-themed hypercar could be one of the big reveals at the upcoming Monterey Car Week
Monterey Car Week is almost upon us and Southern California is once again crawling with some automotive heavyweights and exotics. But an Instagram post by Comedian, Spike Feresten, sent me down a rabbit hole of mystery. Spotted on a transport trailer at the Los Angeles International Airport was a shape that undeniably screams: " 911 GT1 Strassenversion,” (street-version in German) that ultra-rare, race-bred unicorn from the 1990s. Born as a homologation special for the famed GT1 class, Porsche famously took on the McLaren F1 and Mercedes CLK GTR.
A Once In A Lifetime Opportunity To Own 1 Of 2 Singer ACS
This safari-style 911 resto-mod can be yours, provided your bank account is as bold as the car's design
The Singer ACS has been controversial since it first came out in 2021. Its rally-car-inspired looks and performance specs made a splash in the automotive world. Drawing design cues from iconic rally cars like the 911 SC/RS and the Paris-Dakar 959, the Safari-style ACS is built on a Type 964 air-cooled Porsche 911 platform. Two versions were researched and developed for a long-standing client of Singers, with the agreement that more would be built later - one for dessert rallying and one for tarmac.
Safari-Wars: Singer ACS Vs. Porsche 911 Dakar
Porsche and Singer have created two similar, yet very different all-terrain sports cars and here's how they stack up against each other
Porsche has proven, on numerous occasions, that the 911 is one of the most versatile platforms. Since its introduction, in 1964, there have been countless variants of the German, rear-engine sports car, including all-terrain variants bred for rallying. Porsche offers a 911 for every taste and need, and with the 992 generation, it also brought out the 911 Dakar – a true, off-road sports car by Porsche that pays homage to the classic Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Paris-Dakar 4x4 (953) from 1984. But a US-based company has also undertaken the task of reimagining the rally-bred Porsche 911.
