Porsche Heritage Moments: Lessons From Le Mans Legend Norbert Singer
The legendary German engineer who played a big role in the brand's Turbo story shares his thoughts in the hour long film part of a new mini documentary series by Porsche
Let me preface by saying that I’m no expert when it comes to Porsche’s motorsport legacy. Having said that, I am aware that the German brand is quite literally built upon the foundations of their glory days in racing, as this tech eventually finds its way into Porsche’s road cars. Where do you think the names like Panamera and Carrera actually come from? Last month, at the Icons of Porsche event in Dubai, I had the privilege of coming face-to-face with a select few Porsche race cars that have dominated at Le Mans: the 911 GT1, the alien-looking 963, the brutal 956, and the legendary 962.

Let’s face it, the standard Porsche 992 GT3 RS is already a track monster. It’s a car that thrives on pushing limits, begging to be unleashed on the world’s most demanding circuits and race tracks. But for some drivers, "enough" is never enough. Based on what I’ve seen in the spy shots from CarSpyMedia, I wanted to highlight some of the features of this performance racing kit.

If you've ever wondered what an extreme off-roader from Stuttgart could potentially look like, here's your answer
When you think Porsche, off-roaders are perhaps the last thing that comes to mind. But the German brand does have a rally-bred pedigree if we look back to the 911 and 959 Dakars from the 1980s. While purists may still scoff at their SUVs, models like the Cayenne and Macan which are household names today, were vital to Porsche’s survival. In fact, it is these very cash cows that have made cars like the iconic Carrera GT and 918 Spyder possible.

Rare Gem With Remarkable Returns: 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport Comes Up For Sale Again
Find out why this limited-run track only 991.2 GT2 RS is a lucrative investement for serious Porsche collectors
Porsche unleashed its ultimate 991 at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show. The 911 GT2 RS Clubsport was the 991 generation’s swan song, a track-only monster stripped down to its racing essence. The Clubsport was the road-going GT2 RS on steroids, based on the 991.2. It took everything that made the standard car a legend – insane power, razor-sharp handling, and a hunger for speed – and amplified it to eleven. But unlike its road-legal sibling, the Clubsport was stripped of creature comforts and lavished with race-ready components, transforming it into a pure-bred track weapon. This particular 2019 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, chassis number 39 of a limited 200-unit run, now up for sale is about as close to a street-legal Le Mans prototype as you can get without needing a FIA license and a team of mechanics on retainer.
