Turn More Heads Than A Carrera GT: The Most Daring Footwear You Can Wear To Your Local Cars & Coffee
Available in a variety of colors and body styles, are these 911-inspired Racing Slippers a bold statement or a fashion faux-pas?
When you Google “car shoes,” you typically get results for driving shoes— that is, footwear designed for comfort and control while driving. As a proud owner of Porsche design sneakers from Puma myself, you can say I’m a fanboy, but I recently stumbled upon a very different kind of Porsche-themed shoes on the web. Forget your fancy driving loafers, gearheads. We’re diving headfirst into questionable car merch with these gloriously awful Porsche 911-inspired footwear.
This Rugged Macan EV Rendering Has One Major Flaw. Can You Spot It?
Donning the iconic Camel-Trophy colors, here is an off-road electric Macan concept that is both impressive and bizzare at the same time
Remember the Camel Trophy? That epic off-road endurance race that pushed man and machine to their limits? Often dubbed the Olympics of 4x4s, it was a competition that was held annually between 1980 and 2000. From the impenetrable jungles of the Amazon and Sumatra to the frozen extremes of Siberia, the Camel Trophy ran through, some of the most hostile and untraversable areas on the planet. Sure, you may be used to seeing old-school Land Rover Defenders and Discoverys covered in mud from back in the day. But this rendering of a Macan Turbo electric with a Camel-Trophy theme by Blackfish Graphics caught my attention for a few reasons.
1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Rennversion Is Amongst The Top 3 Most Expensive Porsche Models Ever Sold At Auction
While the broader auction market struggled at Monterey 2024, this rare gem was an exception that was still able to fetch big money
Broad Arrow Auctions has released its list of the top 10 sales for Monterey Car Week 2024. An astonishing total of $71.5 million was achieved, with an impressive 85% of lots sold. The car that topped the list is none other than the - (Lot 275) 1997 Porsche 911 GT1 Rennversion raced by Rohr Racing, which managed to fetch $7,045,000. This particular car is one that we’ve covered previously leading up to CarWeek, and our guess about being sold for big money was spot on. Based on the 993-generation 911, this example is one of only nine customer GT1s ever produced, making it extremely rare.
Here's Why The Varta Acquisition Is A Strategic Bet That Could Pay Off For Porsche's EV Future
This collaboration aims to harness Varta's battery expertise to power Porsche's upcoming high-performance electric cars
Porsche has announced a strategic partnership with Varta AG, a German battery manufacturer. Even as the broader EV industry faces headwinds, this counterintuitive strategy reflects Porsche’s long-term vision of dominating the high-performance electric vehicle segment. I say counterintuitive, because Porsche backtracked on its statement from 2020, that it wanted 30% of its sales to come from EVs by the end of the decade. Regardless, this move could shake things up for Tesla and other EV players.
The World's Biggest 3D-Printed Porsche Bumper Takes Shape On This Wild Cayman Project Car
While the extra wide-stance and a super aggressive diffuser will turn heads, its production required some ingenious techniques
Jeremy Snow, who runs the ‘Electric Supercar channel’ on YouTube is all about, as you may have guessed from the name, EVs. Because Elon is taking his time with delivering the Roadster (seven years and counting), Jeremy built one for himself. He has previously also built a Hummer H1 EV. One of his latest project cars taking the EV route is a 2014 Porsche Cayman, which will soon be dubbed the GT-E.
Luca Trazzi's Bespoke Type-993 Speedster Is A Reminder Of Why This Forbidden Fruit Is Such A Big Deal
Unveiled at Monterey Car Week, we explore Porsche Sonderwunsch's latest creation and other custom-builds based on the 993 chassis
The Porsche 993 Speedster is often described as a unicorn in the automotive world. While the German automaker has produced over 30 different iterations of the iconic 911 over the decades, the Speedster remains one of the most unique and desirable variants to date. Unfortunately, not all 911 generations exist in Speedster form, and the Type 993 is one such example. Officially, the last air-cooled 911 was never sold as a Speedster due to Porsche facing financial difficulties in the 1990s. Now, a passionate designer and Speedster collector, Luca Trazzi turned to Porsche’s Sonderwunsch program (Special Request) to bring his vision of a Type 993 911 Speedster to life.
2025 Lamborghini Temerario
While a plug-in hybrid Huracan successor may deter many Lamborghini aficionados, the new Temerario mates a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three motors to produce north of 900 ponies, which screaming its heart out at 10,000 rpm.
Lamborghini has unveiled the all-new 2025 Temerario, a cutting-edge hybrid supercar that succeeds the iconic Huracan, which reigned supreme from 2014 to 2024. For the first time, this all-new baby Lambo combines a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors, delivering a staggering 907 horsepower to catapult from 0-62 mph in a mere 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 213 mph. While the hybrid powertrain offers improved efficiency and uses a small-sized battery to offer electric driving up to short distances, not all Lambo lovers will appreciate the advancements, considering naturally aspirated engines are slowly dying, and the 5.2-liter V10 was just sublime.
World's First Retro Hypercar: The Kalmar 9x9 Is A Feather-Weight 900+HP Homage To The 959
Limited to just 27 units, this 993-based bespoke creation packs nearly twice as much power as the original 959
While the Monterey Car Week has already witnessed its fair share of automotive showstoppers, few have dared to redefine the custom aftermarket genre quite like the Kalmar 9X9 and the Tuthill GT1 this year. While the 911 restomod scene is quite mature, this trend is now extending to other iconic models from the Porsche stable. Kalmar Automotive based out of Denmark, is calling it the "world’s first retro hypercar," a bold statement that perfectly captures the essence of this beast. Inspired by legendary cars of the past like the over-engineered 959 owing to that distinctive fixed rear wing, the 9X9 blends classic aesthetics and cutting-edge performance.
Homage To The Iconic 930 Turbo: Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Breaks Cover At Monterey
Limited to 1,974 examples, Porsche celebrates five decades of Turbo legacy with a special edition 911
Porsche’s turbocharged models have evolved significantly since the introduction of the first 911 Turbo in 1974. Now, five decades later, Porsche is commemorating the 50th anniversary of its iconic model with the unveiling of the limited-edition "911 Turbo 50 Years" at Monterey Car Week. This special model pays homage to the original 930 Turbo, a model that revolutionized the sports car market by integrating turbocharging technology from race cars into a road-legal vehicle. This new anniversary model pays homage to this legacy while incorporating modern styling and performance enhancements.

Baby On Board, Porsche Style: A.I. Works Its Magic To Dream Up A 911 GT3 RS Baby Stroller
While a Porsche-branded stroller did come close to production in the past, but never happened, we wonder if the real thing could turn heads at your local Cars & Coffee
Imagine this: As you stroll through the rows of gleaming metal and horsepower at your local Porsche cars & coffee event, there’s one surefire way to stand out—even if you’re not behind the wheel of a full-sized Porsche. Enter the miniaturized marvel that is turning heads and sparking conversations among dads and enthusiasts alike: a baby stroller based on the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Technically, since it has a soft top, this is essentially a GT3 RS convertible, which doesn’t exist in real life.
Edith: The Untold Story of Porsche's Record-Breaking Volcano Climb
Set to premiere at Monterey Car Week, the film chronicles the 911's historic climb to the highest volcano on planet Earth
Remember that insane project where Porsche tried to drive a 911 to the top of a freaking volcano? Yeah, that wasn’t some fever dream – it actually happened, and now they’re dropping a documentary about the whole ordeal. "Edith: Volcano Ascent" is about to erupt onto the scene at the upcoming Monterey Car Week. The car in question? Not a souped-up SUV, but a specially-prepped Porsche 911. We first caught wind of "Edith" back in late 2022, when Porsche was busy testing the car. Their destination and target? Ojos del Salado up in the Andes in Chile, is the world’s highest active volcano. At a lung-crushing 22,093 feet, to give you some context, even Everest’s base camp sits lower than where Porsche was aiming for. This is also the highest volcano on Earth and the highest peak in Chile.
