Matching pistons with pixels, here's an up close look at a Porsche fanatic's custom racing rig by Podium 1
by Amrit Balraj on May 24, 2024, 06:00Recently, high-end racing rig simulator company, Podium 1 Racing delivered one of the most advanced set-ups to Steven Weinstock, an avid Porsche collector and sim racing enthusiast based in Miami, Florida. Podium1 Racing builds immersive gaming rigs for SIM racing, Flight Simulation, and also sells individual components that you can use to build your set-ups. If you order one of their custom rigs their team will travel to your location and set up their systems as per your requirements.
Steven had Podium1 custom paint his racing rig "Meissen blue", exactly like all four of his Porsches. Steven is an avid driver and chose Porsche as the brand to start his collection with as he believes that the brand is perfect for dedicated drivers. Podium1’s rig consists of a dedicated Recaro racing seat mounted on a chassis that is designed to mimic the movement of a racecar around a track, a Porsche 911 RSR Sim Racing steering wheel, a trio of curved Oled LG screens for enhanced visibility. Steven introduces us to all four of his Porsches, a GT3 Touring, a GT4 RS, a GT3 RS, and a Spyder RS. He also informs us that there will soon be a 5th 911 S/T added to his collection, with no prizes for guessing the color of the car. Before the team assembled the system Steve insisted that the Podium1 crew take his beautiful cars out and experience the acceleration and exhaust of his beautiful machines.
Harisson Nevel, who got to experience the cars had a big smile plastered on his face throughout and we completely understand why. The video is a treat for car enthusiasts as well as video game enthusiasts as we get to experience the best of both worlds in the video. All of Steve’s cars, along with the custom paint job, also come with custom Brooke Race exhausts which sound sublime, even though we only hear it for a short time in the video. Finally, the Podium1 crew assembles the rig in Steven’s man cave and then has an impromptu gaming session with all of his friends. Isn’t that what it’s all about - having a great time with your friends?
