With the Tourbillon, Bugatti fits a large 25 kWh battery pack, which is estimated to deliver 37 miles on EV mode

With such engineering excellence in mind, could Porsche be developing an internal combustion engine, like a V10, or a V8?

Coupled with the highly efficient and equally potent e-motors of the Tourbillon, the 918 successor could be the most potent Porsche of all time

The Mission X concept from 2023 sheds light on what to expect from the 918 Spyder successor, both from design and technology standpoints

However, unlike the 918 Spyder, the Mission X concept is an electric hypercar, with a power-to-weight ratio of 1 hp per 2.2 pounds

Ferrari and McLaren are allegedly developing the LaFerrari and P1 successors and they are supposed to be hybrids

We can't rule out the possibility that the 918 Spyder successor is going to be an EV

But if McLaren and Ferrari are developing hybrid hypercars, Porsche could eventually go that route as well
