Bizzare Porsche 944 6x6 Targa Pickup Was Someone's 26-Year Project Car

A 944 unlike anything else out there, this one-off creation that took 2,500 man hours to complete, can now be yours

This is a custom Porsche 944 based in Germany that has been modified into a 6x6 pickup truck

High-performance sports trucks have been a niche market for decades, with models like the GMC Syclone kicking off the trrend

Porsche has never officially produced a sports truck, despite the potential market

There have been unique Porsche-based pickup one-offs like the Rinspeed Bedouin concept from 2003

Finished in a vibrant shade of continental orange, the transformation was carried out between 1995 and 2021

Besides the unique bodywork, the pickup has a 6x6 setup with the axles borrowed from an Audi 200 Turbo

The extended wheelbase allows for a longer bed with oakwood panels

Orange and black is the theme in the interior and you have Porsche pickup inscribed on the steering to leave you in no doubt about what you're looking at

The cab features a custom rear window along with a Targa top

You get a custom aluminum box in the bed, where you can store the Targa top

To lug around the added weight, this 994 pickup features a more potent 3.0 four-cylinder from the Porsche 968

Swipe up to find out how much this one-off build that took 2,500 man hours to complete, costs.
